What is holistic counseling?
CenterPath Therapy takes into account the whole person. You will be assessed with consideration given to mental health, physical health, nutrition, energetic health, spirituality, behavior and thought patterns, and history. Your therapist and you will determine a treatment plan to address the areas of your development where you need it most. My approach is half psychotherapy, half coaching.
If holistic counseling takes into consideration spirituality, will I still benefit if I do not follow a specific religion?
Yes. Spirituality and religion are different. Counseling sessions will address the areas of your life where you feel full, connected, content, and whole. It will also address areas of your life where you feel something is missing, something is just not right, and you feel discontented. These are among the spiritual issues holistic counseling can address.
Will I be going against my religion if I opt for holistic counseling?
No. Center Path counseling services accepts and honors each individual's religious beliefs and works in the framework of those beliefs. Whether you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan, however you identify, you are welcome here.

How long will my therapy last?
The length of therapy will vary depending on your goals and current and past life situation. Length of therapy will be determined between you and the therapist in your first few sessions. Keep in mind that my goal is to work myself out of a job. I do not want you to be dependent on this work and expect that at some point you will transition out of coming to sessions.
Do I have to come every week?
Some individuals prefer meeting weekly for the support sessions offer and to aid in focus on goals. Others prefer meeting once or twice a month. Generally, when first starting therapeutic sessions, weekly visits are helpful. After 3-6 sessions, biweekly or once a month sessions are the norm. When your initial goals have been met, you may negotiate meetings based on your level of comfort with your progress.
What is meditation?
Meditation is simply sitting in content awareness in an effort to quiet the mind and body. There are many ways to practice meditation techniques.
